San Francisco: Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is likely working on a feature that will add a new camera shortcut for iPhone users to their app.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has introduced a new update through the TestFlight beta program, bringing the version to 18.104.22.168. The version selected under WhatsApp settings is 22.214.171.124 and the TestFlight version is 22.19.0.
A screenshot showed that the camera shortcut is placed inside the navigation bar and will appear to those users who can already create a community in the future.
The report said that it looks exactly like the app applied to the WhatsApp beta for Android (but due to a bug, it was temporarily removed in another update).
He added that since this shortcut is now in development, it is still not visible to users as WhatsApp plans to release it in a future update of the app.
Earlier this month, a report said that WhatsApp is working on a new feature for businesses to allow them to manage chats from their devices linked to an upcoming subscription service from WhatsApp Business.
Under a new optional subscription plan called WhatsApp Premium, users will be able to use additional features such as the ability to create a custom business link and link up to 10 devices to their accounts in the future.
