New Delhi: Finally, the microblogging site has entered the podcast on its platform. It has been testing as of August 25th to include podcasts, themed audio stations and (of course) recorded + live spaces under the Redesigned Spaces tab. The new conversion area will show users a variety of podcasts in different formats and they can like or thumbs up for the podcast.

Announcing the new features on Twitter, the Spaces account wrote, “Good news, today we started testing a new Spaces tab for even better news, and it includes podcasts, themed audio stations, and (of course) recorded + live spaces.”

According to the company’s blog, “Starting Thursday, August 25, we’re integrating podcasts into Twitter as part of our newly redesigned Spaces tab. We know some discussions need more than 280 characters, and bringing people closer to ideas, content, and creators.” Who they know and love is fundamental to Twitter no matter where the conversations are taking place.”

New Redesigned Spaces tab with new features

Now with the new podcast feature, it has redesigned the Spaces tab to provide a more interactive experience. There is a dedicated center called “The Stations” under the redesigned spaces. These recommendations will be shown to users across different topics such as news, music, sports, and more depending on the users’ taste. It will also display a customized selection of live and recorded spaces. Besides, you will get the perfect option as more users will listen to it and spend time on it.

Users will now see three sections when they open the Redesigned Spaces tab: Stations, Spotlight, and Upcoming Spaces. The stations will feature customized content, the Spaces Spotlight section will include the best audio content on the platform and the third section will list upcoming spaces.

Twitter Spaces launched in 2020

The micro-blogging site added the new feature called “Spaces” in 2020 for live audio chats on Twitter. The host will initiate the space and Twitter users can join and listen to the conversation. If one host wishes to allow others to speak in the space.
