New Delhi: The US photo and video sharing social media platform, Instagram has created a new parental supervision tool and family hub in India. According to Mashable India, the Instagram company, Meta announced it this year in March.

Parents will get supervision tools and resources from the experts at the Family Center. They will be able to keep track of the time their children spend on screen. In India, Meta has introduced on their blog a new parental supervision tool and Family Hub, which will provide screen time data for children to their parents for protection.

They stated that the Family Center was developed after discussions with parents, adolescents and experts. Meta says the Family Center is a place for parents to “supervise their teenage children’s accounts within Meta technologies”.

Mashable India reports that it provides access to various resources on “how to communicate with their teens about internet use”. It should be noted that consent of both parents and teens is required after which only access to the moderation tools will be granted.

Moreover, Meta also said that anyone can remove this feature from their account and the other person will receive a notification about it. According to Mashable India, earlier, the company brought these gadgets and family hub to the USA; However, now I have decided to roll it out in India as well.
